About the event
The Salsa Caleña Convention Toronto 2026 is four days of workshops, performances, social dancing, and culture, brought together in one city for the first time.
Thursday night starts at El Rancho. Appetizers, champagne, live music from Luis Franco, and a dance floor full of the best salsa caleña dancers in North America. It is the opening night of Toronto's first ever salsa caleña convention.
Friday gets serious. A three-hour styling intensive at CRE8 Toronto where leads and follows work in separate rooms with world-class instructors. For dancers with previous salsa caleña experience. Come ready to dance.
Saturday is a full day at Columbus Centre. Six workshops from beginner to advanced, a live vendor market with food, costumes, and accessories, dance exhibitions from some of the best teams in the country, and social dancing to close the night with DJ Albert Moreno.
Sunday is the send-off. A cabaret night at Lula Lounge, Toronto's home of Latin music for over 24 years, featuring live music from Luis Franco, world-class performances, and DJ Albert Moreno closing out the weekend.

A three-hour intensive for leads and follows. Leads in one room, follows in another, each working on technique and styling with world-class instructors. This workshop moves fast and will challenge you. Previous salsa caleña experience recommended.
